oh hey, friday!

my first oh hey, friday! I found this over on September Farm and hopefully this can become a weekly post.

I am sure you are just amazed at 5 posts in 5 days (me too) so don’t expect this all the time LOL

Beth: Girl! You never let me down. Like ever. Even 560 miles away your love, support and friendship only grows. I love ya.

New Month = New Book: In trying to continue my 2014 success of reading more books I have decided to start a new one and it seems pretty fitting for my first book of the new year. It comes with much praise from my friend, Brooke. I am excited to start this tonight (since I know Matt will be asleep early). Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar.

Summary – Life can be hard: your lover cheats on you; you lose a family member; you can’t pay the bills. And it can be great: you’ve had the hottest sex of your life; you get that plum job; you muster the courage to write your novel. Sugar—the once-anonymous online columnist at The Rumpus, now revealed as Cheryl Strayed, author of the best-selling memoir Wild—is the person thousands turn to for advice. Tiny Beautiful Things gathers the best of “Dear Sugar” in one place and includes never-before-published columns and a new introduction by Steve Almond. Rich with humor, insight, compassion—and absolute honesty—this book is a balm for everything life throws our way.

TV: Please come back on! I know that I don’t have time for you anymore but I can’t wait for you to fill my DVR. I need Lt. Kelly Severide, Olivia Pope & gladiators (I’m totally “team Jake”), and Rayna James – just be with Deacon already back in my life ASAP! Plus I discovered today that Netflix is now streaming the entire series of Friends (confession …..now I don’t have to stay up late to watch on TBS every night).

(We) Survived: Thank you for letting Matt (and our marriage) survive another retail holiday season. I think it gets worse every year … but we somehow managed to make it through Matt’s worst schedule thus far. It was not easy but we made it!

Hannah (& John): Can it just be January 15th already! Not that I am wanting to wish away the first 2 weeks of 2015 but I am so excited to see my sister. I haven’t got a Hannah hug since May 3, 2014 and that is just TOO LONG! I miss you and I can’t wait for you to be home, even if it’s just for 5 days. I plan to be spending a few nights back at home (in my old room) just so we can stay up late and wake up early to have coffee together. I miss you little sis ❤

xoxo
